As the Security Advisor – Technical you will be responsible for the following:
Supervise, coordinate and help with installation of technical security system equipment and components.
Help and/or perform surveys, system specifications, and installations.
Coordinate the repair and preventative maintenance program for the security system infrastructure.
Provide verification-of-operation tests of technical security systems.
Process equipment inventory (for example: tracking, spare parts and ordering).
Test new-generation security hardware and equipment and provide advice on feasibility of adding to security standards.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation supporting the division.
Manage training programs for technical personnel and others on various security systems.
Coordinate internal technicians to ensure feasibility of solutions for projects.

Qualifications
Completed 1 year certificate in a security related field and 10 years of experience in technical security functions including the installation, repair and maintenance of video surveillance, access control, commend Intercom, intrusion detection and knowledge in the application of physical security countermeasure is required for this position.
Preference will be given to applicants who possess a Certified Protection Professional/Security Administration or related technical security designation.
Experience with extensive security system installation will be considered an asset.
Competencies for this position includes: communication, problem solving, organizational, interpersonal skills and well developed analytical and computer skills.
Pre-employment Requirements
A security clearance will be conducted.
An offer of employment for this position will be conditional on an applicant passing a pre-employment drug test. Failure to pass a pre-employment drug test may prevent an applicant from being hired into any safety sensitive position for a period of up to twelve months.
