The File Reviewer is responsible for creating and assessing the nature of new occurrence files created in PRIME, determining the appropriate processing methods required and verifying the validity and completeness of codes entered by other staff, adding or modifying UCR scoring, and then transferring files to the Records Management System. In addition the successful applicant will produce statistical reports; match paper or electronic documents to PRIME or PIRS files; provide factual information regarding file contents to a variety of internal and external contacts.

The ideal candidate will have high school graduation supplemented by courses in commercial subjects, offices practices and procedures or have sound related work experience preferably in a Police Department. Must have the ability to type efficiently and operate standard computer systems at an intermediate level. Experience in a Police, RCMP or legal environment is required. Knowledge of PIRS, PRIME, JUSTIN and UCR scoring is an asset. Working knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada and other applicable Federal and Provincial statutes that are enforced by the RCMP is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain an RMCP Enhanced Security Clearance.

Status: Temporary Full Time to August 19th, 2016.
