Circa Enterprises is headquartered in South West Calgary and specializes in surge protection equipment for the telecommunications industry. We design, engineer, manufacture, market, and sell equipment for a broad range of industries including telecom, electrical, and construction.

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Payable role is responsible for maintaining and managing the full accounts payable cycle. This includes processing and monitoring invoices and payments and ensuring that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits. This position will work three days a week, preferably Monday, Wednesday, Friday and will be eligible for benefits. We are looking for a responsible, motivated and upbeat individual to join our dynamic team!


  • Prepare and process approved invoices into Syspro Accounting System ensuring account coding and proper matching to GRN’s/PO’s
  • Ensure all invoices have the appropriate approval and/or signatures
  • Prepare and issue AP cheques
  • Maintain supplier files and credit applications
  • Ensure monthly recurring charges are entered and paid on time (i.e. rent, utilities, etc.)
  • Prepare visa expense reports, reconcile supplier statements.
  • Assist with monthly account reconciliations regarding GRN payable, accrued payable, and inter-company trade payables
  • Maintain lists of payables as well as a general ledger
  • Manage the weekly cheque run and provide weekly cash disbursement forecasts for both US and Canadian dollars
  • Provide support and back-up to accounts receivables as needed
  • Assist with year-end audit requirements and inventory count
  • Perform additional clerical or other related duties as required


  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable role
  • General knowledge of accounting principles and cycle
  • Excellent command of MS Office
  • Excellent organization and problem solving skills
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently
  • Strong verbal and written business communication skills
  • Detail orientated, prioritization, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Proven team player who is both flexible and adaptable
  • Experience with integrated accounting software (Syspro) would be considered an asset
