BUSINESS UNIT DESCRIPTION
Retail and Business Banking provides a full range of financial products and services to almost 11 million clients. With approximately 25,000 employees, CIBC Retail and Business Banking has a broad distribution network serving clients through the Branch network, as well as President’s Choice Financial in-store pavilions. Clients also have 24/7 access to telephone banking, online and mobile banking and online brokerage, as well as to Canada’s second largest ABM network. Retail and Business Banking addresses the needs of CIBC’s mass market, Imperial Service and Business Banking clients who seek out the best value and service for their banking needs. JOB PURPOSE
The Quality Assurance Test Coordinator is responsible for certifying rewrites, additions and changes, potentially part of multimillion dollar ecommerce projects that may affect eChannels internet, mobile and marketing sites including CIBC Online Banking, CIBC Mobile Banking, Presidents Choice Financial (PCF) Online Banking and PCF Mobile Banking in highly complex and integrated environments. This position is critical to Internet & Mobile Project Delivery as it supports the gatekeeper function for applications going into production and involves good judgment, coaching, accurately assessing and reporting how well an application meets business requirements and reporting risks remaining at the end of User Acceptance Testing related to moving the application into production.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Define and document plans, estimates, timelines, resource skills requirements, and resource / time budgets for UAT initiatives using standard templates.
• Organize UAT team of up to 12 people and provide necessary orientation, direction, coaching, and motivating influence to maintain a positive environment and enable the team to deliver UAT work products efficiently, effectively and according to project and Internet & Mobile Project Delivery Quality Assurance & Quality Control process and procedures and corporate standards and processes.
• Lead accurate assessments of English and French online banking and mobile banking applications functions’ readiness for production in light of changes to them and back end systems and outstanding risks, and provide results and status to project and Internet & Mobile Project Delivery management.
• Recommend and support development and implementation of process improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency of Internet & Mobile Project Delivery Quality Assurance & Quality Control.
Qualifications
• Degree in technology or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1 year coordinating testing initiatives using testing methodologies; e.g., EDF, CETM and testing tools; e.g., ALM, use cases, Requirements Center.
• Familiarity with online banking and mobile banking applications and functions sufficient to understand and assess business and testing requirements, enable developing effective realistic test strategies, test plans, estimates, test cases, test data and environment requirements, conduct testing of both English and French internet and mobile applications, and produce accurate status and test exit reports.
• Interpersonal, communications and negotiating skills sufficient to build positive relationships and resolve issues with other project team members, and supporting groups and individuals.
• Oral skills sufficient to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization up to director.
• Written skills sufficient to define and communicate clearly requirements, issues, status reports, justifications, processes and procedures.
• Presentation skills sufficient to prepare and deliver materials to communicate program and project status, and provide orientation and education to team members.
• Process development / improvement experience enabling identifying and recommending ways to resolve process issues, improve processes, and develop new processes to meet new requirements.
