CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Country Operations division. We are looking for a Location Manager to plan and direct the marketing of the location’s Agronomy products and services offered by the cooperative to area producers through a team effort.

You will:
Manage a full service agronomy operation, including dry and liquid fertilizer, seed, seed treatment, crop protection products and custom application. Create and manage agronomy location operating budget.
Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
Work with Region Manager to create and manage agronomy location operating budget.
Work with the Region Manager and the Sales and Marketing Manager in product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to attain the highest possible long-term market share.
Assist with establishing strategic marketing plans to achieve objectives for agronomy products and services.
Evaluate and recommend distribution channel development programs.
Establish and maintain procedures for efficient and safe warehousing of inventory.
Ensure staff receives appropriate safety and environmental training.
Monitor competitive products and marketing activities.
Establish and maintain relationships with key industry and strategic community partners.
Maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

Basic Qualifications: (required)
Bachelor’s degree (additional years of experience may offset degree requirement)

5 years of management experience to include:
Developing and managing operating budgets
Overseeing multiple locations
Managing staff
Preferred Qualifications: (desired)
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or related program
Experience managing an agronomy sales team or location
