The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer , Event Readiness Division, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to assist in managing its marketing, outreach and public education strategies, programs and projects that support the operations for Elections Ontario.

What can I expect to do in this role? You will:
• develop and implement outreach strategies to build relationships with community partners, grassroots organizations and stakeholder groups;
• create outreach and education materials to a wide range of stakeholder groups, grassroots organizations and community partners;
• develop and implement large scale marketing and public education programs;
• coordinate and lead interdisciplinary project teams;
• assist in the research and development of communication delivery models and solutions;
• research, write, edit and distribute project briefs, creative briefs, ad copy, information kits, education tools, reports and incidental briefing materials;
• provide process and technical support to field stakeholders, in both event and non-event periods and respond to operational inquiries from Returning Officers;
• coordinate the development and production of communication materials;
• produce and deliver presentations; and
• participate on committees, task forces and working groups.

How do I qualify? Qualifications: • demonstrated experience in marketing and/or outreach project management;
• demonstrated experience developing and implementing integrated marketing and event promotion activities;
• demonstrated experience working with external vendors and service providers;
• demonstrated experience working with community organizations and partners;
• demonstrated knowledge and experience in applying marketing, communications, outreach and public education techniques, principles and practices;
• highly skilled and well versed in editing and proof reading of strategic documents and communications materials;
• demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques and tools;
• highly developed oral and written communications and editorial skills;
• highly developed research, presentation and negotiation skills;
• excellent, analytical and problem-solving skills;
• demonstrated experience using communication-related software (e.g. Photoshop, Adobe InDesign);
• knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite;
• well-developed analytical/problem solving and organizational skills;
• demonstrated strong relationship management, interpersonal and leadership skills; and
• familiarity with the Election Act, and Elections Ontario’s operational and strategic objectives, strategies and initiatives.
