What can I expect to do in this role? The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer , Communications division, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to assist in managing its marketing, outreach and public education strategies, programs and projects that support the operations for Elections Ontario. You will:

• develop and implement large scale marketing, promotion and public education programs;
• create marketing and outreach materials to a wide range of stakeholder groups;
• coordinate and lead interdisciplinary project teams;
• assist in the research and development of communication delivery models and solutions;
• research, write, edit and distribute project briefs, creative briefs, ad copy, information kits, education tools, reports and incidental briefing materials;
• provide communications support to internal business owners as required;
• coordinate the development and production of communication materials, ensuring legislated obligations (FLSA, AODA) are met;
• produce and deliver presentations; and
• participate on committees, task forces and working groups.

How do I qualify? Qualifications The following qualifications are required:
• demonstrated experience in marketing and/or outreach project management;
• demonstrated experience developing and implementing integrated marketing and event promotion activities;
• demonstrated experience working with external vendors, including printers;
• demonstrated experience working with community organizations and promotional partners;
• demonstrated knowledge and experience in applying marketing, communications, outreach and public education techniques, principles and practices;
• skilled and in editing and proof reading of strategic documents and communications materials;
• demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques and tools;
• highly developed oral and written communications skills;
• highly developed research, presentation and negotiation skills;
• excellent, analytical and problem-solving skills;
• demonstrated experience using communication-related software (e.g. Adobe InDesign);
• knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite;
• well-developed analytical/problem solving and organizational skills;
• demonstrated strong relationship management, interpersonal and leadership skills; and
• familiarity with the Election Act, and Elections Ontario’s operational and strategic objectives, strategies and initiatives.
