Key Responsibilities & Duties

The successful candidate will welcome & greet clients with respect and in a professional manner. This person will be responsible for answering and transferring phone calls. As well, they will be maintaining the company websites/ social media sites and responsible for creating/updating and converting the text/graphics into web formats. This candidate will be responsible for the following (but not limited to):

  • Welcome and greet clientele
  • Organize the website calendars
  • Liaison between agents and clients
  • Organize and maintain real estate records
  • Maintain/file records
  • Answer, transfer phone calls and schedule appointments if required
  • Maintain privacy of client reports
  • Organize paper documents and transfer required information through telephone, email or courier
  • Discuss with owner the website lay out and organization
  • Handle and maintain flow of information on websites and social media pages –create web development solutions if required
  • Create web pages that can be viewed on any type of server
  • Convert the text in to HTML (Hyper Text Mark-up Language)
  • Responsible for opening the office in the morning, ensuring office equipment is on/off and locking the office premises after working hours
  • Flexible on hours, able to work weekends

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of workplace protocol
  • Filing and organizing skills, and Good communication skills
  • Good telephone etiquette
  • Courteous and caring attitude and mannerisms
  • Knowledge of real estate functions an asset
  • Knowledge of software applications like Microsoft Word, Excel & OutLook Knowledge of telephone systems, fax machines and copiers
  • Must be thorough with latest web design techniques
  • Must have the skills to make web sites that can be accessed with any type of browser
  • Must have command over web development languages and codes such as: JavaScript, HTML, XHTML and PHP
  • Good with graphic design. Have artistic ability to create graphic designs
  • Have the ability to visualize – (the look and functionality of the web site/social media should match the business needs)

Educational Qualification and Experience:

  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in web design an asset (related field or equivalent in experience)
  • Knowledge with latest developments in web designing an asset
  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory
  • Knowledge and skills of general reception is requested by employer
  • Welcome candidates with experience in a real estate industry

This position will be based on a 25 – 30 hour work week and will include some Saturdays; it may lead to full time hours as the real estate season progresses. The rate of pay will be $12 -$14 per hour depending on experience.
