The IT Support Field Analyst (Bilingual) position based in Montreal provides desktop, network and general server support to special ITS projects and enterprise rollouts. He/she works closely with other personnel in Information Technology Services including Senior Network and Infrastructure Analysts that set implementation procedures and standards, and according to Chartwell’s ITS policies and procedures. With an expectation for extensive travel, the Service Delivery Analyst participates in site surveys, performs rollout activities and assists with post-go-live support. He/she complies with all ITS and corporate policies and with the guidance of the ITS Security Analyst, ensures that all audit controls are met.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

Under the direction of the ITS Service Delivery Manager, the incumbent:

  • Assists in the implementation of new technology-based solutions in Chartwell residences according to established procedures
  • Conducts onsite activities with an emphasis on posing the least negative impact to Operations as possible
  • Maintains any pertinent hardware and software inventories required for rollout
  • Guarantee that the work progress accurately follows the agenda
  • Perform troubleshooting and strive to resolve issues
  • Provides frontline end user support as required
  • Stays abreast of new and emerging technologies
  • Complies with all Chartwell and Information Services policies
  • Willingness to travel to remote sites extensively (up to 80%)
  • Occasional need to work outside of office hours
  • Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • College degree in a relevant field of study
  • Preference given to a candidate with technical certifications (Network, Microsoft and ITIL v3
  • Minimum 6 – 8 years of progressive IT experience working in an enterprise environment
  • Proven work experience as a Desktop Support, Technical Support or similar role
  • Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners
  • Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs
  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
  • Knowledge and understanding of networking environments and Microsoft Windows server environments
  • Understanding of a managed desktop environment (Citrix, VMware)
  • Understanding of a virtualized environment (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Understanding of Wireless technologies (Xirrus, Cisco, Aruba)
  • Understanding of VoIP telephony (Avaya, Cisco)
  • Excellent customer service skills, positive attitude

  • Excellent organizational & multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment
