The Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC) is seeking talented individuals to join our administrative support team to assist with general administrative activities, ensuring efficient and smooth day-to-day operation.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide excellent customer service to our members, providing timely response to inquiries
  • Process seminar registrations, and product orders (including passport purchases); and follow-up with confirmations
  • Process course cancellations and transfers
  • Manage course waitlist and contact those on the waitlist if an opening becomes available
  • Timely communication of pre-work information, web links for web-based seminars and paperless seminars, and all other relevant seminar information to registrants
  • Proofread and format course materials
  • Prepare and format electronic material; coordinate with Webmaster for materials to be posted online
  • Email Seminar Evaluation links to registrants on the day of seminar
  • Proofread or assist in quality assurance review of course catalogues, flyers, IMIS, and PD website for accuracy
  • Some on-site administration support at seminar facilities – may involve set up of registration tables and AV; assistance in troubleshooting issues encountered by instructors and/or registrants; pack up and shipping of items at the end of seminar
  • Other administrative support and assist PD Management team with projects, when required

What you bring to the role:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-year experience in office administration or similar role
  • Proficient with MS Office and Adobe Pro (Intermediate to Advanced level)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior attention to detail and process oriented
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Enjoys working in a team and collaborating with others with the ability to work independently
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
