The Desktop Technician is part of the GIS End User Services team.

The member will be responsible for the set up and support of desktop/laptop equipment for our client. Using Microsoft tools as well as for the maintenance of the client computing environment software.

Responsibilities includes:
-Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC equipment.
-The person will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion. -Provide end-user assistance where required.
-Image Workstation for new deployments.

Mandatory Technical Skills:
– Windows XP, Windows 7, (Mac OS X is an asset)
– Antivirus
– Office Suites 2010
– Knowledge of Computer hardware
– Knowledge of networking principles
– Ticketing system (ITSP / ITSM is an asset)

Soft skills:
-Customer service oriented
-Good presentation since this is a client facing role
-Self-starter, ability to work independently
-Must be able to meet scheduled deliverable
-Team player
-Dynamic
-Autonomous
-Resourceful

Scholarship
-Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience

Bilingual
– French and English spoken, written
