Application support Analyst

This is a unique opportunity to join the CGI team located at Montreal, Canada. Reporting directly to the Director of Consulting Services in the Greater Montréal business unit, your key responsibilities as an application support analyst will be:

The Application Support Analyst will be responsible for supporting IT applications; creates technical documentation, monitors and modifies application configuration, analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves application incidents.

Core Responsibilities: •

24/7 IT applications support •

Configure and implement IT applications •

Support and maintain configuration management •

Support the business continuity strategy •

Provide daily application administration •

Utilize IT best practices while providing root cause analysis •

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for defined applications •

Provide direction and guidance to other Application Support Analysts •

Troubleshoot to analyze, resolve and document reported incidents •

Effectively communicate with Business Units, Team Leads and IT Management to implement, support, and monitor defined applications

Minimum Qualifications overview: •

2 years of experience Production support of applications and technology infrastructure in a 24/7 production environment •

2 years of experience performing Root Cause analysis, managing problem tickets to full resolution in a 24/7 production environment •

2 years specific experience with UNIX shell scripts and SQL •

Proficiency with Java, Database, Unix, Application Servers
