The Individual

As a Regional IT Support Lead reporting to the Senior Director, IT Infrastructure and Architecture you are responsible for the maintenance of Centric Health’s IT infrastructure throughout the British Columbia and Alberta regions.

In this hands-on role you will be responsible for systems administration, deployment and support. This includes internal IT support of the server and network infrastructures, desktops, and implementation of software applications as needed. You will be required to train and orient users on the use of hardware and software systems and provide technical documentation as needed. Regular travel within British Columbia and Alberta, with some overnight travel, is required.

You will also have …
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience, with at least 5 years’ experience in a lead technical support and administration role
The ability to manage your own work schedule effectively, often working individually, supporting remote locations and users as necessary (some travel to other sites required)
A proven track record of providing customer service focused technical support
A solid foundation and strong technical knowledge in the following: Microsoft Office 2003-2013, Windows server 2003-2012 (including Active Directory and group policies), Remote desktop and Terminal Services
Strong technical trouble-shooting and problem solving skills needed, attention to detail and a methodical approach
Ability to take initiative to identify problems and recommend workable solutions
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Team player focused on providing excellent service and solutions
Ability to manage projects, achieve deadlines, as well as set and meet goals
Must have own vehicle
The Role
Desktop support and troubleshooting. (Dell, Acer, HP, MAC OSx experience would be an asset)
Manage daily system backups
Manage network, switches and routers (Cisco, Dell and HP equipment, DHCP, DNS)
Responsible for laptop and desktop maintenance and security
Support for copiers, printers, fax machines and peripherals
Ensure privacy and security of all systems, experience with MS security technologies, Firewalls, (Cisco, Meraki, Fortigate), and support of VPN technologies
Support of mobile devices (iOS, Blackberry, Android, ActiveSync)
Some after-hours support may be required from time to time at the direction of management
Available to work occasional off-hours for emergencies or planned maintenance
