CBV Collection Services Ltd. is a leading provider of collection services for over 90 years with clients in the financial, telecommunications, and government sectors. With offices located across the country, we require Collections Officers to join our expanding organization due to increase in business and market share. This position will be located in our North York, Toronto office.

Position Summary
Reporting to the National Manager of Administration and Client Services, this role is required to provide efficient and professional service and support to internal and external clients. In this role, you will process data files and act as a liaison between internal members and external clients, providing timely and accurate information to all clients.
This role will maintain and enhance current levels of productivity, and take on new responsibilities as the position evolves.
This is a 6-month contract, full-time hours position, with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Duties and Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  • Maintain relationships with clients through daily written and verbal communication.
  • Communicate effectively with key clients regarding our services and their accounts.
  • Act as an objective liaison between the internal and external clients in order to share information and effectively resolve account issues.
  • Review processed daily data transmission files on various platforms.
  • Ensure internal members and external clients receive clear, concise and accurate responses to all requests.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of client products and processes in place at CBV Collection Services Ltd. that are required to service the needs of the client.
  • Maintain a sound and current knowledge of operating procedures and systems as they relate to the position.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports and statistical data.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Client, CBV Collection Services Ltd. and the customer at all times and ensure that all information is placed on CBV Collection Services Ltd. systems accurately.
  • Escalate issues to Management as necessary.
  • Accurately complete other duties as assigned by the Vice-President of Administration and Client Services.
  • Reconcile data files against external/internal data as required.
  • Process and distribute reporting for audit and internal use.

The Person:

  • You are prompt, reliable and articulate.
  • You are highly organized and possess good time management skills.

  • You have a solid understanding of the collection industry and a commitment to our customers.
  • You have intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) programs and above average typing skills.
  • You possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, thrive on multi-tasking and are goal- oriented.
  • You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
  • You learn quickly, are exceptionally self-directed, able to meet tight deadlines and excel under pressure.
