  • This is a full time temporary opportunity until August 31st, 2018.

Your role

We are looking for someone with the ability to work cooperatively with a news team, offering ideas and suggestions to enhance news coverage across all platforms. The successful candidate is a creative, strong critical thinker who can tell compelling stories on multiple platforms: online, radio and television. The successful candidate will be expected to report breaking news, produce original journalism, and write stories and analysis for digital platforms. The candidate must demonstrate and maintain exceptional skill in writing about Regina’s issues in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following:
University degree or equivalent with a minimum of three years of recent experience.
Experience in determining potential legal and journalistic issues, and ability to act on them.
An ability to generate, pitch and pursue strong, creative story ideas.
Working knowledge of the diverse communities in Regina and Saskatchewan.
Working knowledge of digital news including social media, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), story analytics, storytelling styles.
Flexibility with hours of work and willingness to learn and take on new tasks across all CBC platforms.
Sound news judgment and ability to work effectively under newsroom deadline pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; strong team player.
