CBC/Radio-Canada Media Engineering is made
up of a team of passionate and highly skilled engineers, project
managers, designers and technical installers charged with translating the media
lines’ (TV, radio, web) vision into concrete action.

If you have a creative and pioneering

seeking a Digital Infrastructure Project Manager. The position will be based in

your duties would be as follows:
Develop, supervise and coordinate the work
of professionals in various disciplines to carry out the design and
implementation of complex media production and presentation systems.

Analyze and recommend or approve
comprehensive solutions using known or innovative principles and techniques in
response to media line needs.

Provide current technical information and
advise media lines as they develop capital project plans.

Supervise the tender process for complex
production or presentation systems, approving or writing specifications,
evaluating responses, and approving or recommending supplier selection.

Draft, verify and approve project
documents, such as blueprints and specifications, technical drawings, and
project reports.

Collaborate with project managers and
colleagues to organize and maintain engineering and office practices that are conducive
to efficient project implementation, setting priorities and adjusting work
assignments to meet deadlines.

Conduct ongoing business intelligence and
remain well informed on various aspects of the broadcast industry to stay
abreast of technology and practices and to advance the state of the art at


You possess:
Bachelor’s degree computer science or
engineering, or equivalent

Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du
Québec (asset)

Minimum five (5) years’ experience managing
IT projects

Minimum two (2) years’ experience in
managing personnel (asset)

Current knowledge and hands-on experience
with multiple virtualization (WMWare,
Hyper-V, XEN, etc.), storage (SAN, NAS, objects, HSM, LTO and T10K tape, etc.)
and networking (SDN, Ethernet, Fiber Channel, UDP/RTP/TCP protocols, multicast,
etc.) technologies

Current knowledge and hands-on experience
with web technologies (CMS, CDN) used on high-traffic websites

Current knowledge and hands-on experience
with key computer/network security concepts.

Current knowledge and hands-on experience with
designing and implementing audio/video production, processing and delivery
systems that use basic off-the-shelf IT equipment

Good knowledge of business practices,
contracts, negotiation, finance and IT management applications

Excellent communication skills (spoken and

Experience working in a collaborative, teamwork-driven

Able to mentor

Up to date on the latest development
technologies, trends and approaches, and committed to projects and support

Able to adapt to an rapidly changing
environment, and tolerate stress well
