One year maternity contract; full time; 37.5 hours per week; alternate weekends; working hours to be determined by Manager.
Reports to the Interim Foods Service Manager (FSM). Duties as assigned by FSM.
Must be a member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management or a Registered dietician.
Must possess a Food Handler’s Certificate
Myst be knowledgeable of Provincial Food Premises Regulation, CCHSA Accreditation Canada/ORCA, Provincial Long Term Care Facility Program manual, & OH&S Act
Proven experience in large quantity food preparation, financial plannings and food purchasing
Proven supervisory experience in a unionized long term care environment
Must be knowledgeable of nutritional needs of the long term care resident, including therapeutic, texture modified and ethnic diets
must have strong leadership skills and proven ability to supervise and secure the co-operation of the dietary employees
Must be able to work and communicate effectively with long term care residents and members of the multidisciplinary team
effective written and oral communication in English (second language considered an asset)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
