Cargill’s Agricultural Supply Chain – North America (CASC NA) connects agricultural producers to food, feed and industrial customers through a seamless supply chain. We help our customers compete in the global market and efficiently deliver products from origins to destinations through our marketing, sourcing, originating, storing, trading, consulting and processing of grain, oilseeds and crop inputs products and solutions. CASC NA business reaches across Canada, United States & Mexico with an expansive asset footprint including over 200 grain elevators, export/import facilities, oilseed crush plants, biodiesel facilities, and farm service centers.

Reporting to the Operations Leader, you provide front-line customer support for the Farm Service Group (FSG) by ensuring consistent execution in customer transactions. This is a key position to the facility, ensuring great communication between sales and consulting teams, operations, and the administrators.
Principal Accountabilities:

30% Provide front-line customer support that includes

• Addressing customer inquiries
• Communicating leads to sales staff
• Providing customers with information on their accounts
• Purchasing grain or selling crop inputs within established guidelines

30% Work with the FSG team to determine which farm customers have required grains and outstanding contracts. Coordinate grain deliveries with those customers to meet shipment requirements

15% Coordinate deliveries of fertilizer, seed and crop protection products directly to the farm customer’s location

15% Process select business transactions and provide complete and accurate information to ensure efficient processing of transactions by the Customer Service Administrator

5% Execute on key financial controls including

• Reviewing, recording and communicating areas that require action by the FSG team
• Taking action to complete tasks required to minimize risk to the company and the customers

5% Ensure customer credit limits are in place by monitoring the credit application process for farm customers to ensure sales can be completed and

• Supporting the sales and consulting teams by communicating information regarding customers’ available credit

Qualifications
Required:

• Demonstrate proficiency in multiple Microsoft Office functions including but not limited to; Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work with confidential information and documents
• Strong abilities to do the following;
o identify problems and solutions
o develop and implement new processes or recommend changes
o provide excellent customer service skills
o build and maintain lasting relationships
o communicate effectively
o understand analytics and focus on detail
• Ability to work extended or flexible hours as seasonal workloads require
• Manage multiple priorities and a variable workload
• Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

Preferred:

• Post-secondary education in Business or equivalent work experience
• Understanding of Canadian agriculture industry, practices and challenges
• Experience using customer relationship management software
