We are currently looking for an Estimating Assistant for a six-month contract (with the possibility of extension). This entry level role will report to the Design Coordinator, the Estimating Assistant would be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Receiving and tracking upgrade submissions from our sales team,
• Creating binders for upgrade submissions and redacting confidential information as needed,
• Create upgrade spec binder for construction sites,
• Review upgrade summaries from trades and suppliers and verify submitted summaries to customer selections,
• Regularly update upgrade pricing database and specification sheets,
• Assist in issuing miscellaneous upgrade purchase orders (PO’s),
• Filing various upgrade and Estimating documents as needed,
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a high-demanding Estimating or Administrative role
• Post-secondary education in business administration, interior design, or Estimating is considered an asset
• Strong Microsoft Office Skills (specifically intermediate to advanced skills in Excel)
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to adjust and work with various personality types
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Ability to work under pressure with conflicting/changing deadlines
