Capital Subaru is seeking an energetic, self-starter to join our service team! We are looking for team orientated person that will strive to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

As an Automotive Detailing Manager, you’ll anticipate the dealership’s needs through active listening and working with various departments to identify the very best way to get the job done. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

The primary function of the position is the responsibility for scheduling, coordinating and supervising the work of the Automotive Detailers responsible for the cleaning of vehicles and maintenance of the washbay, building perimeter, and surrounding lot at Capital Auto Group. Ensures that efficiencies are maximized for production and profitability in the Company.

Duties:

• Monitors workflow, supervises and occasionally participates in the work of the Automotive Detailing position.
• Opening/closing location while ensuring the lot is maintained and responsible for mechanical upkeep/cleanliness of washbay.
• Train all new Detailers, scheduling, payroll and any other duties as assigned.
• Ensures employees are carrying out duties so that vehicle interiors/exteriors are pristine, safe and ready for passengers.
• Manages all aspects of staff discipline including job coaching and disciplinary procedures.
• Works closely with various company departments, listens to suggestions, recommends and develop plans, meets their needs and puts effort into maximizing wash bay output.
• Ensures safety policies, standards, and procedures are followed to achieve a safe work environment and safety for all staff, customers, and vendors.
• Other duties as assigned and as may be amended from time to time to meet company objectives.

Requirements:

• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
• Must be highly organized with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Considerable knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools and equipment of the washbay.
• Excellent attendance is a must and consistently arrives to work on time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in the automotive industry or shop labourer experience with demonstrated supervisory ability.
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License with a Drivers abstract is required.
• Certificate of Conduct required.
