Position Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Person is responsible for efficiently and accurately assembling products for customer orders, loading orders onto customers’ trucks, receiving inventory from suppliers, and receiving and restocking customer returns.

Expected Contributions

  • Unload building material supplies safely and promptly from delivery trucks, containers, and rail cars, and place in warehouse for proper storage.
  • Accurately, efficiently, and safely pick and assemble customer orders.
  • Make general math calculations and properly complete shipping and receiving documents.
  • Assist customers by loading orders onto delivery trucks.
  • Conduct spot inventory counts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Adhere to all work safety rules and regulations.
  • Adhere to customer service commitments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • General counterbalance forklift certificate
  • Must have own steel-toed boots
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ warehouse experience
  • Familiarity with order picking process
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds or 23 kilograms occasionally
  • Bending, lifting, and reaching during course of shift
  • Safe chainsaw operating skills
  • General understanding of loading 53-foot trailers with proper weight distribution
  • General knowledge of building materials will be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of engineered wood products is preferred

Education: High school diploma

Work Location: 5350 – 275 Street, Langley, BC V4W 4A3

Hours of Work

  • Typically Mondays to Fridays
  • Must be flexible with start and finish times

Working Conditions: Able to tolerate outdoor working conditions.
