The Temporary Financial Services Coordinator is a diversified position that will be responsible to support the multiple departments within the Centralized Accounting Service group. (Payroll, Centralized Woodlands Services and Accounts Payable)

The successful candidate will work closely with each of the departments to ensure all transactions are handled efficiently and accurately. This position requires well established organizational skills, a high level of motivation and energy, excellent two-way communication and a preference for working in a closely knit team environment.

Major Duties:
Processing of full cycle payroll, earnings, deductions and taxes for multiple divisions, in compliance with labour agreements, statutory regulations and Labour Standards. Completion of all yearend related payroll tasks including finalizing T4’s and related reconciliations.

Tracking log deliveries and processing of contractor log payments within preset time frames using the Log Production system. This includes balancing log deliveries to the scales, uploading delivery and sample information to HBS and performing regular reconciliations of log deliveries and samples.

Processing accounts payable invoices, performing a match to PO and investigating any differences while working to ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors.

Required Skills

Functional payroll experience including achievement of the Canadian Payroll Association PCP certificate (or in progress with a commitment to complete.)

Post secondary education with an accounting focus.

Previous experience in a wood products manufacturing company would be an asset.

Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and flexible in using a variety of computer applications.

Ability to work independently and the desire to work in a fast paced environment.
