Position Overview:

Lead credit, collections, and cash application activities across Canada and the US, focused on delivering targeted results while working to improve C & C processes and efficiencies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing and reviewing new customer set up and any changes in payment terms and or credit limits for current customers while ensuring strict adherence to the company policy and guidelines.
  • Interface with sales organization to communicate credit decisions and or issues that need to be escalated.
  • Ensure timely credit limit and health check reviews of current customers.
  • Make credit decisions within assigned authority.
  • Supervise and plan activities of credit, collections and cash application team to ensure activities are carried out in a timely and proactive manner.
  • The Credit Manager will be the escalation point for all difficult collection cases. The credit manager will have to pick up and resolve these issues with the help of the business leaders and the customer.
  • Closely monitor the order release process to ensure timely release of customer orders.
  • Generate relevant metrics and meet agreed upon targets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience in Credit and Collections or related finance roles
  • Diploma/Certificate/Degree in Business Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Understanding of credit reporting agencies
  • The ability to perform credit risk reporting analysis for new and current customers.
