JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for handling functions pertaining to the processing of insurance application. This includes reviewing applications for completeness prior to submission into the system. This includes the ability to obtain additional information by e-mail, phone or written correspondence in a timely and professional manner.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Data Entry:
  • Processing of mortgage, level term, outstanding balance and line of credit applications for Creditor business. This includes a manual clean-app process consisting of checking for missing information, replacements, duplicate applications and notes to existing coverages. Any missing information is requested by contacting the lender/customer by e-mail, phone, written correspondence required.*
  • Customer Service: *
  • Has a professional approach when corresponding with credit union representatives and applicants.
  • Adherence to Policies and Procedures:
  • Adheres to safety, security and all other company policies and procedures.
  • Teamwork and support:

Supports team by modeling behaviour that encourages regular attendance, contribution of ideas & feedback, assisting in enhancing operations and customer service. Models team oriented behaviours by answering questions and assisting team members and other departments with inquiries and other related matters. Provides excellent service to both internal and external customers.

  • Maintains up to date knowledge of the company’s products and other department’s process that may affect the New Business unit’s processes.*

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Post-secondary education preferred.
  • Minimum 2yrs customer service experience in office environment.

Specific skills and abilities:

  • Reasonable computer skills with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel.
  • Typing speed of 40wpm with high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.*
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.*
