About the Job:

CMHA BC Division has an opening for a part time Administrative Coordinator to support the activities of the Living Life to the Full / Vivre sa vie, pleinement program. The Administrative Coordinator assists the National Manager in the areas of program logistics, communications and support to the course facilitators.

In addition, the successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out general administrative duties in support of daily operations of the Living Life to the Full program including tracking, recording and invoicing functions.
  • Assisting in the organization of regular events, such as training workshops and Community of Practice teleconferences, and special annual events.
  • Monitoring, updating and managing the website and answering routine inquiries.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is an asset. An equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience may be considered.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position, ideally in the non-profit sector, in a health or mental health context
  • Experience in event coordination and program marketing
  • Experience responding to the public about routine questions
  • Personal experience with mental health issues, either through self or a loved one, is an asset in this position

Skills and Abilities:

  • Working independently, collaboratively and under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Resourcefulness and innovation to solve problems
  • Database management skills; experience with CRM software an asset
  • Very good written and verbal skills
  • Web- and tele-conferencing, advanced MS Outlook 2013 and Google Groups listservs skills
  • Website content management skills, with systems like WordPress or equivalent
  • Written and verbal French language fluency required

The CMHA BC Division office is located in downtown Vancouver. Your usual workweek will be 22.5 hours during week days, however, additional hours may be required depending on operational needs.
