With the growth we are looking for a General Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have a combination of outstanding business acumen, hands on experience and understanding of dealership operations. The General Manager assumes complete accountability for the financial, operational, customer satisfaction and human resource objectives for the store.

Using a positive and involved team attitude, this position provides leadership and is instrumental in: creating a customer centric culture, developing and executing strategic, operational and process initiatives to enhance the financial contribution and effectiveness of the dealership operations.

Required Experience

  • 10 years of automotive experience
  • 5 years at a management level
  • Proven leadership skills- ability to direct and supervise staff
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate and promote teamwork in the dealership
  • Above average customer service skills
  • Ability to lead operational change
  • Knowledge of forecasting and financial statements
  • Above average computer skills
  • Understanding that this is not a 9 to 5, Monday thru Friday job that may require reasonable amount of extra hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining above average Customer Satisfaction by ensuring excellence in customer service delivery in all departments
  • Responsible for the profitability of all departments
  • Manages all cost elements within the departments
  • Manage recruitment, training and staff development to enhance the strength and effectiveness of staff and managers ability to achieve strategic and operational objectives
  • Lead best practice implementation with regards to dealership operations
  • When required, act as a shift manager and perform other administration duties
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute promotional plans and maximize customer traffic
  • Extremely focused on developing people and process behind sales to maximize profit in the variable operation
