PERMANENT FULL-TIME MAINTENANCE MECHANIC Campbellford Memorial Hospital requires an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The Maintenance team, as part of Environmental Services is responsible for the supply of water, light, heat, power, ventilation and other building service systems in the building. They are responsible for providing servicing and maintenance of the building systems, structures for the Hospital Campus partners. They are also responsible for servicing and repairing of equipment and the physical plant. The team takes care of the telephone system and security system. Additionally, the role includes property maintenance, renovations and painting.


Fourth Class Stationary Engineers Certificate or its equivalent is required.

A secondary trade licence is an asset.

Secondary School Graduation Diploma

Three years experience in a similar role, hospital environment an asset.


 A good general knowledge of the following but specializing in one: o Electrical o Carpentry o Plumbing o Steamfitting

 Sound understanding of preventative maintenance programs

 Computer skills related to the maintenance function and training.

 Demonstrates efficient skills exhibiting initiative and self-direction with a high level of commitment to

work and employer.

 Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize duties.

 Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

 Demonstrates the ability to work independently or in a group as a team member

 Demonstrates competency in additional office equipment/technology required in the position.

 Demonstrates a record of good attendance and punctuality at work.

 Demonstrated ability to reflect our culture of “people looking after people” in work

 Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
