If so, then a position as a Locating Technician Assistant at Cam-Tel might be the spot for you!

Cam-Tel Line Locating Ltd. is looking for a number of energetic and hard-working students to join our team for the 2017 summer. Through the Alberta One Call System, Cam-Tel provides locating services for a number of different utility companies in the City of Edmonton and Capital region.

You would help our crews provide field responses to Alberta One Call requests, ensuring homeowners, professional excavators and utility companies can safely dig. This means working in different locations throughout the day, working with different people, and enjoying the summer weather all while having the opportunity to earn a great paycheque! Plus you don’t spend your summer on the road, so no missing out on your social life.

Locate Techs must:

• Have a valid Driver’s Licence with a clean abstract and be capable of passing a security clearance
• Be safety conscious, reliable, trustworthy and hard working
• Be a self-starter comfortable working alone for the bulk of the day
• Be personable and confident when communicating
• Be interested in working long hours and weekends to meet the demand of the construction season
• most importantly, be interested in a job that is more than simply pushing a broom or a shovel, and rather a fun and unique challenge

Will receive experience relating to and interacting with:

• Utilities
• Oil and Gas
• Construction
• Engineering
• Health and Safety

Starting Wage: $17 an hour

Extra earning opportunities including overtime.

Job Type: Temporary

Salary: $17.00 /hour
