Clinical Psychologists perform a vital role within the mental health teams, supporting military members achieve their highest level of functioning.

For some service members, not all wounds are visible. The psychological and social effects of operations may not become apparent for months or years, and can include substance abuse, PTSD, depression, anxiety, somatic complaints, relationship problems and family stress.

In this role, you will contribute leadership within a team of mental health practitioners; conduct both assessments and therapeutic interventions; work closely with colleagues across the health services spectrum; develop group therapy sessions; access and contribute to patients’ health history via the Canadian Forces Health Information System.

    Mandatory Qualifications:

    • Registered Psychologist, authorized for autonomous practice the College of Psychologists of Nova Scotia
    • Post-graduate experience with psychodiagnostic assessment and treatment of PTSD, anxiety and mood disorders
  • or proceed with Standard Application Form.
