The network analyst is a member of the Business Services Team, responsible for maintaining the network infrastructure and related systems for the Calgary Stampede.
This position is involved in the planning and implementation, and is a key support resource for our telecom and network infrastructure. They are to prepare and keep current related documentation of processes and procedures. The position spends their time in the office developing programming and only works out on Park during the busiest, peak periods of the year.
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Manage and maintain close working relationships with venders and support companies including and working within our sponsorship agreements.
Complete advanced administrative tasks, analysis, security and support for the Calgary Stampede networks
Plan, configure and support our virtualization platform (VMWare, including replication)
Plan, configure and support of our back-up software and routines (Veeam)
Plan, configure and support of our storage infrastructure (EMC)
Plan, configure and support of our network, firewall, routing infrastructure (Avaya, Juniper)
Research and propose technology, hardware, systems and networking solutions.
Document processes and procedures, as well as providing testing and patching for related systems and technology.
Assist internal departments with their technical needs by making recommendations to increase efficiency.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, optimistic and have worked in a dynamic environment where they have experience delivering on multiple priorities and will hold the following qualifications:
At least five years of related in infrastructure systems and relevant networking experience.
Extensive experience in some or all of our key technologies (VMWare, Juniper, Cisco, Avaya)
Working technical knowledge of MS programming and scripting languages is an asset.
Certification and training in any of our key technologies (VMWare, Juniper, Cisco, and Avaya) is an asset.
Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
