The Digital Marketing Coordinator is a member of the Consumer Marketing team, supporting all facets of the Calgary Stampede’s digital media properties and successfully executing various online marketing strategies across the organization. This position is a Limited Term contract with full time hours from February 2018 to October 2018.
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Day-to-day execution of web and social media initiatives (e.g. calgarystampede.com, e-marketing, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram) supporting Calgary Stampede with the goal of building brand engagement and customer loyalty.
Build calendar of activities to support overarching marketing communications plans. Work in close partnership with internal and agency partners to build fan bases and ensure timely customer interaction through key websites and social media channels.
Work collaboratively with marketing specialists to determine digital marketing needs that support internal clients’ programs and initiatives.
Perform day-to-day analysis of digital marketing program performance. Summarize results and recommendations for internal and external partners.
Maintain master calendar of digital marketing initiatives (e.g. website updates, integrated campaign launches, social media content).
Create, proof, and deploy a variety of email marketing newsletters and website landing pages in support of the overall marketing strategy.
Create compelling, insightful content that describes, educates and promotes the Stampede’s values and supports specific programs and initiatives.
Ensure all content and campaigns produced meet brand standards, follow existing design templates and best practices, and support the online marketing strategy.
Provide administrative and marketing support for a variety of existing programs as needed.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, optimistic and have the ability to multitask.
He/she will have an undergraduate degree in marketing or communications or a related field from an accredited university, as well as the following:
Minimum of two to three years of related experience in marketing or communications.
Exceptional communication, presentation, project management, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize.
Exceptional relationship skills working with internal stakeholders to align objectives and outcomes.
Understanding of digital marketing and associated tools.
Experience creating, editing, and proofreading compelling content for web and social media.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) would be an asset.
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
