The Calgary Parking Authority is looking for a
talented User Experience Designer with strong interaction and visual
design skills to help evolve how users experience the world’s most popular OS. You
should have a passion for usability, an eye for visual consistency, and a knack
for reducing the complex to the bare essentials.

Responsibilities:
Keep the interface beautiful and easy to use. Direct
the visual appearance of all new features and enhancements on our
software application.

Initiate, suggest, and spearhead UI re-factorings for a
more intuitive user-experience.

Design elegant solutions to complex workflows. Design
things that people will talk about

Act as the user-advocate during the development
process, subjecting early-stage designs to usability testing or expert
review, and offering implementation suggestions from a user-centered
perspective.

Act as “go to” with in-depth knowledge of user
interface best practices and standards. Use research-related services,
theories and methods to support your recommendations.

Effective collaboration and communication skills to
interact with other designers, teams and partners from conceptual vision
to implementation.

Fluency in current design, entertainment and social
media trends.

Excellent written and verbal communication,
presentation, and organizational skills.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have BA / BS degree in
Graphic Design, Communication Design, Interface Design, or equivalent
experience with 3 years of user interface design in consumer products or
related experiences.
3+
years of experience in working with teams in Agile Software Development
Must
be very comfortable with two week sprints and two week release windows
Have created great UX experiences in the past
based on a deep understanding of how user audience would like to use
mobile technology, and what will work and what will not
