The Human Resources Advisor is responsible for the delivery and sustainment of the Building Leaders programming which provides leadership development support at every stage of an employee’s career. This role will support the Regional Human Resources Manager on Recruitment, Talent Management and Human Resources Generalist services in the applicable region.

You will:
Organizational Development – Program Delivery and Support

Monitor the effectiveness of regional programs and assess learning and development needs and priorities through metrics and feedback;

Deliver leadership material to regional leaders, from front line-level to senior manager, and facilitate the learning process;

Train regional leaders in the application of new tools and concepts, providing real time support and on the job feedback;

Identify and pilot opportunities to continuously improve program development and delivery (e.g. technology, content, processes);

Support development of Building Leaders program content, including monthly e-newsletter and videos;

Educate regional stakeholders on Building Leaders programming and tools, promoting their offerings and objectives and linking these to business strategy and individual development needs;

Create and manage the master schedule for regional learning events including workshops and networking events. Manage or support the delivery of these events;

Support company’s leader onboarding process, coaching people leaders to build strong onboarding plans for new talent and facilitate regional meet and greets;


Provide full life-cycle recruitment support to the Regional Human Resources Manager and hiring managers in the acquisition of talent at the property-level for identified positions and at the portfolio-level for roles up to the manager-level. This may include, but is not limited to, conducting intake conversations, developing sourcing recommendations, resume screening and short listing, conducting telephone and in person interviews, reference checks, background checks, employment offers, new hire paperwork and processes and the facilitation of Applicant Tracking System requirements;

As a subject matter expert, support hiring managers in the understanding and effective utilization of the Applicant Tracking System. This may include on-site training;

Performance and Talent Processes

Support the Regional Human Resources Manager with performance and talent management processes and tools including talent reviews and individual development plans. Scope may include the preparation of talent-related materials, monitoring of action plans, connecting leaders and employees with relevant learning resources;

General Human Resources

Support the Regional Human Resources Manager with employee relations issues to ensure they are aligned with corporate and/or legislative requirements and are carried out in a consistent, non-discriminatory, reasonable and fair manner. This may include, but is not limited to, promotions, transfers, relocations, investigations, terminations, acquisitions and divestitures;

Provide support on the interpretation and administration of human resource programs, policies and procedures;

Conduct human resources onboarding for new people leaders by communicating expectations and reviewing available tools, as requested;

Participate in employee engagement survey initiatives across the region, supporting properties as required;

Track key metrics, as required.

You have:
Post-secondary education in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources;

Minimum 3 years’ recruitment and Human Resources Generalist experience;

Minimum 2 years’ experience delivering learning programming and facilitation;

Bilingual (French/English) proficiency in both written and verbal communication;

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, Adobe eLearning Suite, and Gmail;

Working towards Human Resources designation an asset;

Proven ability to interview and select candidates for a variety of positions;

Exceptional facilitation and coaching skills, with the ability to ask questions and engage others in meaningful discussions;

Strong understanding of various provincial employment legislation and human rights is essential;

Experience in capturing information and knowledge in digital format – video, written e-communications, etc.;

Previous property management and/or client service experience an asset.
