Reporting to the Manager, Continuing Health Education, the CHE Project Manager will be responsible for the following:
Develop initiatives and customer’s offering based on
quality performance criteria’s and key competencies areas
as defined by the CHE Center for Excellence and CHE environment. Be perceived by stakeholders/brands as “the expert” in CHE using:
Apply adult/organizational learning principles
: Conduct, support and or apply educational learning principles in CHE/CE/CPD initiatives.
: Thru evidence based or practice based support, in all brand/stakeholder initiatives select and apply learning formats that are effective for HCP learning. Translate individual HCP or inter-disciplinary stakeholder’s needs against measurable objectives and expected outcomes.
: Promote continuing improvement and performance measurement with physicians/HCP/stakeholders during educational interventions. Use measurement data to assess the performance of the CHE/CE/CPD interventions, behavior change and performance improvement.
Consider multi-disciplinary approach/focus and organizational needs (individual and collective) when developing CHE interventions.
: Identify and collaborate with external partners that enhance effective CHE/CPD initiatives and in line with AbbVie’s business values.
Provide and support an environment of continuous improvement, behaviors change in educational practice as an essential component of an effective CHE/CPD program or initiative.
develop and maintain a management culture that will reflect a collaborative, service oriented continuous improvement system that meets the needs of the targeted audience as well as accreditation standards and Brand Imperatives;
Life Long Learning:
Engage in self-assessment, identify gaps in knowledge/practice and follow a learning plan for ongoing CHE performance improvement as a professional;
Design, plan and implement measurable CHE strategies for elected Brand/Therapeutic area. Align CHE programs with stakeholder’s needs as well as meet the elected Brand objectives.
Lead and develop CHE content for the Strategic Brand Plan process and propose CHE initiatives that meet customers’ objectives; while closing care gaps.
Play an active role within Brand Teams and in-field team or cross functionally and constantly identify CHE opportunities to support strategies or brand objectives with key stakeholders.
Manage significant CHE budgets on monthly basis and manage all related supporting documentation accuracy.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and Health Care Professionals according to the targeted therapeutic field.
Build and maintain strong relationship and work closely with Educational Committee Leaders, CHE Key Opinion Leaders in Universities or Scientific Societies in support for the CHE Center for Excellence.
Lead program implementation and ensure execution and communication is optimized towards all stakeholders and the In–field Teams.
Support In-field teams in achieving their objectives in CHE programs delivery.
Maintain a strong Canadian presence at National Medical Meetings and cascade Global driven initiatives in Canada when /where appropriate.
Constantly strengthen relations with major stakeholders such as physicians, pharmacists, Nurses & other health care professionals, as well as patients for strategic insights.
Ensure that all CHE initiatives meet AbbVie’s & Rx&D’s ,CMA, PAAB Code of Conduct requirements, internal EOC/ACC policies as well as ensure programs meet ethics and accreditation criteria’s.

Various Ethical /Rx&D, CMA, PAAB, AbbVie’s Guidelines and standards environment and dynamics.
In depth knowledge of various National CHE environments, CHE accreditation systems in Canada for various targeted audience.
Brand Team / matrix dynamics: Proactive attitude to take key actions and demonstrate behaviors that support CIE Core and/or Leadership Competencies as well as the Brand Team behavior competencies.
In dept knowledge of pharma/healthcare industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Science.
Certification in CHE/CPD or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Prior project management experience in health care industry.
of 2 successful years in Specialty Pharma Sales, with biologic experience is preferred.
Availability to travel 30-40% of the time. Valid driver’s license and passport.
Strong communicator; advanced English and French, oral and written.
Strong scientific background. HCV experience is preferred.
Proficient with MS Office Suite, Outlook, internet, etc.
