You might be wondering why we need a Weekend Receptionist. Well, even though we are an online business, our customers are busy creating their dream homes on weekends too. That’s why we have a team of sales people available to help them out and you are part of that customer experience. We call it receptionist, but really you are the master of multitasking. You review online orders, answer phone calls and support the Sales team, all while WOWing the customer. Because you are processing orders, you’ll also be putting your attention to detail to the test to make sure we have all the right information to get the product to our customers. There’s a lot going on here, and as the ‘face’ of BuildDirect, you are the one who sets the standard for a first class customer experience.

What You’ll Do
Answer a busy multi-line switchboard
Track purchase orders to confirm delivery
Coordinate purchase orders between sales system and payment system
Process and follow up on sample orders
Distribute incoming mail, courier packages and faxes
Send outgoing courier and mail
Process orders and assist customers (internal and external) with various enquiries
Daily tasks associated to the purchase process – making sure we have the correct billing, shipping and contact information
Track weekend office requests for the weekday team
Troubleshoot any urgent office-related problems
Greet, sign in, and assist any weekend visitors
Send a weekly update to the weekday Receptionists at the end of your day Sunday to make sure they know of any outstanding issues or requests that need to be addressed
General administration and support for staff

What You’ll Achieve
Deliver exceptional customer service internally and externally
Answer a high volume of calls in a quick response time
Make sure the office is in order for the Reception team

What You’ll Need
1-2 years customer service experience
Demonstrated proficiency in Word and Excel
Previous experience communicating with customer both over the phone and via email would be an advantage
Fantastic organization skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to take initiative and suggest improvements
Previous experience with data entry would be an advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Availability to work every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from 8am – 5pm
Knowledge of Shoretel Phone Systems is an asset
Successful candidates will need to complete a criminal record check
