In an ever-changing business environment significant value can be driven for tenants through effective administration of leases. Our team of Lease Administration experts, in conjunction with our RealLease technology platform, supports our clients nationwide in effectively and efficiently managing their leased portfolios. From abstracting critical lease terms, to accurate payment of rents, to critical reconciliation of landlord billings, to regular review and reporting to providing critical analysis of lease profiles, our services provide tenants maximum leverage and flexibility in leased relationships.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of our Lease Administration team, the Lease Analyst will be responsible for:
Ensuring the integrity of the lease administration database (RealLease)
Overall coordination & support in the areas of lease administration process improvement
Supporting lease abstraction and data management initiatives
Administering expenses associated with leased space
Identifying & validating rental payments
Advising the Technical Authority (TA) on payments due
Monitoring and investigating annual budget increases from landlords then requesting the appropriate backup to substantiate the increase
Coordinating monthly rent roll adjustments with the TA
Liaising with the Property Manager on a daily basis
Ensuring that realty tax payments are fair & equitable
Reviewing landlord records
Coordinating & monitoring Lease Administration Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (DIAI, CFAI)
Completing desktop audits of year-end statements
Other tasks as assigned
EDUCATION, JOB-RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION: More than one year up to three years
Knowledge & Skills
Community college diploma preferably in accounting, business administration or law clerk studies
1 to 3 years of work experience in commercial lease administration, abstraction, accounting or property administration
Ability to read and understand commercial real estate lease agreements
Ability to process volumes of data requiring strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient with MS Excel and ability to learn new management information systems quickly
Bilingual English/French
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
RPA Designation, an asset
FMA Designation, an asset
