The Leasing Agent is responsible for leading the leasing experience on site and delivering the Broadstreet standard of customer service in the leasing process. Leasing Agents will be responsible for delivering vacancy targets on assigned properties and delivering required administrative functions to support the leasing process. Leasing Agents will work in close partnership with the Site Managers to build relationships with current and future clients and support business development in the areas of market research, marketing strategies and vacancy rates to ensure site profitability.
Creative and Innovative Thinking Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining a high level of client satisfaction through excellent customer service and communication
Review appropriate vacancy reports daily to maintain working knowledge of site vacancies
Complete prescreening of applicants including credit check, employment check and rental references for pre-approval to rent and deliver news regarding approved and declined application status
Book appointments with leads and contact applicants on waiting lists for viewings focusing on closing the sale
Schedule leasing signing with Site Manager for approved clients
Collect and account for the initial payments made by applicants and new residents
Provide feedback and make marketing requests as needed to ensure site is maintaining vacancy goals
Support Site Manager in the move-in and move-out process at month end and the day to day administrative activities as schedule permits
Follows all rules of Residential Tenancy Board in dealing with tenants and accessing suites and communicating with tenants on behalf of Broadstreet
Performs other duties as required. Requirements:
High school diploma/ GED completion
Minimum 1 year of previous sales experience and/or 1 year of previous residential leasing experiencing
Courses from the Residential Tenancy Board is an asset
Proficiency of modern office procedures and methods including phone, email, office systems, and record keeping
Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems and report to site manager
Ability to express enthusiasm in all situations
Ability to travel between sites with a reliable vehicle Working Conditions:
Travel from site to site may be required
Ability to work overtime as required
Ability to work weekends and non-traditional holidays.
Sitting for extended periods of time and walking through the sites may be required
