The Financial Coordinator is contracted to deliver timely and precise accounting activities and financial reporting. The ability to operate within guidelines of regulators and stakeholders, and possess a strong eye for detail will be essential to the successful achievement of this position’s objectives.

Responsibilities

  • General accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including cash flow management, and management of accounts payable and receivable
  • Preparation of financial schedules for funding agencies as well as Annual and Interim Financial Statements
  • Preparation of GST/HST Returns
  • Liaise and work with external auditors and managing annual audit
  • Work with various staff to coordinate invoicing
  • Provide quarterly financial reports for the CEO and Treasurer
  • Provide financial reports for specific programs, teams and events as required

Skills & Experience

  • Experience with accounting systems
  • Strong time management, presentation skills and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
  • Excellent computer skills and IT literacy
  • Experience and/or understanding of amateur sport an advantage
  • Complete a Criminal Records Check

Required experience:

  • Financial Reporting: 1 year
  • Bookkeeping: 1 year
