Located in Vicotria, British Columbia, we currently have a permanent full-time career opportunity for an ESG Integration Manager. This position is complimented with a comprehensive health and dental benefits, particiption in a Defined Benefit Pension Plan as well as participation in our Annual Incentive Plan and a generous vacation entitlement. The starting salary range of this position is between $100,000 to $110,000.

About the Opportunity

The Manager, ESG Integration is a member of the Public Equities team, and is accountable for bcIMC’s corporate engagement on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues that have the potential to impact client assets under management.

The Manager is committed to encouraging companies and the financial markets in general, to adopt environmental, social and governance standards with the objective of enhancing the returns and mitigage risks of bcIMC’s client investment portfolios. This position achieves that goal through direct engagement with companies, advocating for legal and regulatory reform, and public policy initiatives.

Qualifications

A combination of education, skills and experience that will include:

an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline

experience in the finanial markets

knoweldge of the pension and institutional investment industry

knowledge of ESG issues and their risk/return impacts

a proven ability to engage senior company representatives (such as CEO, CFO and board members)

To be succesful in this role, the candidate requires:
strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills

highly developed writing and verbal communication skills

a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills

project management experience

ability to be a self-starter, flexible and adaptable

good judgement

ability to work independently as well as to work effectively as part of a team; and

the capability to work under pressue and with time-sensitive deadlines

or proceed with Standard Application Form.
