BCIT’s Digital Arts department requires a temporary, part-time (.13) Instructor to teach GTEC 3360 E-Commerce for Printers to full-time (day school) students in the Graphic Communications Technology program, during September to December, 2015. This course introduces students to the many opportunities presented by E-commerce and online connectivity in the printing industry. It prepares them to devise, select, implement, maintain, and grow an online presence for a print company, with emphasis on using web technology successfully.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Relevant Diploma, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Minimum of five years relevant experience in the printing and imaging industry
  • Appropriate and current experience involving the application of the subject area and a high level expertise/experience and skills in the following areas: eCommerce and Digital Storefront technologies, Print Estimating, Print Production Management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to prepare, deliver and administer a relevant applied course, and to provide coaching and assessment of full-time studies post-secondary students in an effective manner that promotes learner motivation and successful acquisition of skills and knowledge
  • Familiarity with BCIT’s Graphic Communications Technology Management program
  • Demonstrated teamwork abilities in a collaborative working environment


  • Provincial Instructor Diploma
  • Relevant degree in a related field
  • An established network of relevant industry contacts

Salary Range:
$49,743 to $87,130 per annum. Prorated based on percentage and term of appointment.

Salary/Pay Information:
