The BCIT Chemistry department is currently seeking a temporary, part-time (0.6) Instructor to join their team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the delivery of General, Organic and Analytical Chemistry lectures and labs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of one year teaching experience, preferably post-secondary with full course responsibility.
Experience in one or more of the following areas is an asset: organic chemistry, chemical instrumentation, biochemistry, environmental chemistry.
Work experience in applied and natural sciences, health sciences or related fields.
Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Chemistry, or the equivalent.
Understanding of various learning styles and teaching strategies.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Professional attitude which stress commitment, responsibility for professional growth, open-mindedness and flexibility.
Successful new applicants will be required to participate in a one-week BCIT Instructional Skills Workshop prior to, or after, class start-up.

Salary Range:
$50,718 to $88,839 per annum. Prorated based on percentage and term of appointment.
