Location:

Reporting to the Lead, Logistics Operations, in the Commercial and Trading Department, the Summer Student, will support the Commercial team in their daily
Reporting

the Summer Student, will support the Commercial team in their daily activities
while gaining exposure to the marketing and transportation of Oil and Gas
commodities for both operated and non-operated assets.
This
position is based out of Calgary head office and is a 4 month summer term
starting in May, 2017
Responsibilities
•
Verification
and filing of daily trade confirmations
•
Monthly
Transportation Invoice verification
•
Scheduling
of Canadian natural gas pipelines; Nova Gas Transmission Ltd, Westcoast, and Alliance
Pipeline
•
Scheduling
of Canadian Oil Pipelines; AOSPL, Drayton, Peace, Swan Hills, Grand Rapids, and
MacKay East Pipeline
•
Verification
of Monthly Index Pricing
•
Tracking
and monitoring forecasted production vs. actual production
•
Analytical support for various commercial business cases and
presentations
•
Participation in transportation position optimization
•
General Corporate Development Support as time permits, including
but not limited to:
•
Regulatory &
Stakeholder Affairs projects as assigned
•
Communications
projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled
in a Bachelor of Business degree program; 4th year student preferred
- Strong academic
performance as evidenced by GPA
- Prior work experience
obtained through internship, coop or summer jobs is an asset
- Strong computer skills
using the Microsoft office; advanced Excel skills required
- Strong interpersonal
skills, ability to work well with diverse personalities and work force
- Strong written and oral
communication skills
- Able to manage multiple
priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable
activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic
business environment
- Ability to work within
tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
- Results oriented,
problem-solving ability, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to
detail
- Positive attitude and
willingness to learn and take initiative
- Self-starter with an
interest in learning Brion’s business
- Legally entitled to work
in Canada
