Our distribution client in the SE industrial park is looking for a Transportation Coordinator to join their team. This position has the potential to go permanent for the right candidate. The offices are not easily transit accessible.
Job Responsibilities
Three or more years experience in the transportation industry required – 3rd Party Logistics industry experience an asset
Logistics and freight experience also will be considered
Coordinating deliveries, creating POD’s and OS&D, creating BOL’s, manual freight invoicing, liaison with carriers and following up (industry terms you need to know)
Build and progress trips in the freight system
Advanced computer skills in MS Office, MS Excel and data entry
Candidate Qualifications
Highly detailed individual who is able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
High school diploma or equivalent, degree an asset
Quick learner with strong analytical skills
Able to adapt in difficult situations and comfortable multi tasking
Works well with strong personalities
