Are you a senior level electrical & instrumentation journeyman with excellent P6 knowledge and turnaround planner experience? Our client in Fort McMurray is seeking a local contractor available for an immediate start date.

Job Description:

• To formulate and develop cost effective work plans for the safe and efficient turnaround in Turnaround and Majors Department

• Review and assess each turnaround job on assigned area of unit for resource requirements (i.e. job strategy, drawings, materials, parts, engineering specifications, tooling, contract requirements, equipment, resources and duration)

• Engage major contractor in schedule development, ensuring schedule buy

• Ensure availability of standard turnaround materials, spare parts and equipment

• Field check job site for job plan and work face alignment

• Ensure preparation and distribution of day / night shift schedules as well as jobs for new and revised job packages

• Actively promote positive safety attitudes and safety monitoring programs

• Attend daily update meetings with team to ensure correct priorities are worked and sensitivities are identified

• Plan any approved work requests generated during the turnaround

• Display leadership during unit turnaround scope execution phase; Participate in regular field safety tours

• Report and communicate turnaround progress as it relates to deviation of plans, schedules, forecasts and performance

• Participate in a critique of the turnaround

• Close out notification in SAP when work is complete and update work list to show status

• Communicate appropriate updates

• Turn over complete job package binders to Planning Assistant for retention.

Requirements:

• Journeymen Instrumentation Ticket required; Must have excellent Instrumentation and Electrical knowledge

• Ability to read Instrumentation and Electrical ISO’s and Schematic’s

• Must have excellent P6 knowledge

• Must work well in team environment; Good communication skills; Must be motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
