Are you interested in helping our students as they begin a new chapter in their lives? We are looking for enthusiastic, personable individuals to take on the role of Student Funding Advisor. As a Student Funding Advisor you will be responsible for assessing applicants service needs, their readiness and willingness to attend school and their ability to achieve the goals they want. A major responsibility in this position will be authorizing applicants for financial assistance, advising applicants of their options and liaising with external agencies and provincial and federal government departments. A strong customer-service focus will ensure that the student is put first in all of your interactions.
- Combination of a relevant University degree and two years related work experience. Equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Previous experience in a post-secondary environment would be an asset.
- Knowledge of Alberta Works Income Support for Learners and Mobius is desirable .
This is a temporary position until May 31, 2016.
