Blush Lane Organic Market is currently seeking a Marketing and Graphics Assistant for its HEAD OFFICE .

The Marketing and Graphics Assistant will assist the Marketing Department with the preparation, layout, and editing of print and online marketing materials such as flyers, promotions, and e-newsletters. The position requires a flexible schedule and the ability to meet deadlines.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate with the Marketing Department, Data Manager, Grocery Managers, and Distributor Representatives regarding product promotions.
• Identify correct products, relevant descriptions and pricing for use in monthly promotions.
• Collect, edit, and create the layout of product images and text on to existing templates.
• Prepare media files for print and web applications.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to clearly present information.
• Excellent English language skills for editing and/or writing copy.
• An awareness of natural foods grocery products and industry.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• A course, diploma, or degree in a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator/InDesign, Photoshop, and a working knowledge of Word Press for posting and editing website content.
• Proficiency in Photography would be an asset.
• Experience with editing video files would be an asset.
• A background or experience in food or health communications such as blogging or other forms of social media would be an asset.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

• The successful candidate must have a computer capable of running graphics software if working from home.
