Financial Services Associate 1 (FSA 1)

As a Financial Services Associate 1, you are the face of BlueShore Financial. In this essential role, you will deliver world class client service in one of our unique Financial Spas™ alongside a full team of experienced financial professionals. This is the position where most banking professionals started their career. This front line sales and service role will build the foundation for a long career in banking. Traditionally called a “teller”, this role has evolved to include an elevated level of knowledge and sales skills than previously required. Times have changed and so has the role. If you see yourself working in banking for the long run, this is where to start.

Employee Type: Part Time Monday and Saturday weekly (plus additional shifts as agreed upon)

Location: North Vancouver

Key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Process transactional needs of clients, by processing cash transactions, deposits (including term deposits), withdrawals, loan/bill payments, cheque cashing/ordering, personal information updates on accounts, foreign currency, fund transfers, drafts, official cheques, and night deposit.
  • Initiate conversations with clients to proactively identify their financial needs.
  • Actively sell BlueShore Financial products and services or refer clients with more complex requirements to specialized branch staff.
  • Apply and uphold branch policies, procedures and controls to meet complex compliance requirements and protect our branch and clients assets.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 1-2 years of customer service and cash experience (sales experience preferred).
  • Some post-secondary education preferred.
