We’re growing! In order to meet increasing demand over the next year for our corrosion control services, we’re hiring new team members to work at our Brantford facility.

Full-time with benefits and profit sharing!

General Labourers (Preppers) prepare products for blast cleaning and/or protective coating application.

Essential Duties :

• Mask (tape) areas prior to blasting and painting
• Assist material handlers and ensure items are properly secured
• Assist with the completion of any required paper work
• Perform basic touch up painting using a brush or roller
• Perform power or hand sanding and light grinding as required
• Must keep work area clean and free of any debris
• Assist in performance of any other labour intensive tasks
• Assist the coating applicators to mix paint

Qualifications:

• Basic communication skills
• Strong attendance record
• Ability to listen and follow instructions
• Willingness to work outside, and in dusty or hot/cold environments
• Willingness to perform a variety of basic tasks in a safe and conscientious manner
• Ability to operate a forklift; previous training is an asset
• Experience using manual or power hand tools (ex. sander)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs repeatedly
• Fine motor skills to work with manual and/or power tools
• Comfortable and able to climb a ladder and work at heights up to 10 meters
• Ability to perform physically demanding work

Special Working Conditions:

• Rotating shifts every two weeks: day and evening
• Flexibility to work overtime to meet production levels, as required
• Dusty environment and daily exposure to chemicals and paints

• Must bring own 6 inch green patch safety boots; company will provide eye wear, hard hat, respirator
