POSITION SUMMARY

The Brand Coordinator position is a winter co-op opportunity. The position supports the Global Brand Marketing team, assisting with campaign development and execution, core and retail asset production, as well as performing administrative functions as needed. The student reports to the Global Brand Marketing Manager, and will be exposed to strategic initiatives and programs central to driving BlackBerry’s visual identity, and communications strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project manage the development and localization of core brand assets, retail collateral, and campaign creative
  • Assist in the writing of creative and project briefs
  • Assist in the writing of master messaging documents
  • Attend launch planning meetings and creative presentations
  • Support in maintaining and distributing digital assets
  • Travel for photo and video shoots, when appropriate
  • Support with the management of global sponsorships
  • Develop and maintain agency relationships supporting in creative and paid media execution
  • Collaborate with product management, user experience design, industrial design and other marketing teams as necessary
  • Champion the visual identity and messaging strategy across the organization

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in a BBA or Marketing program in an accredited institution
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven written and verbal communications skills
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Passionate about technology
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks on an ongoing basis
  • Demonstrates incredible ambition, superior communications skills, learns new concepts and technologies quickly and thrives in a fast-paced environment

ADDITIONAL ASSETS

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Previous creative writing experience
  • Understanding of digital media file types
  • Previous experience in the technology or telecommunications industry
  • While there will be some administrative duties, this role is aimed at someone who is committed to launching a career in brand and marketing communications
