• Perform routine inspection, maintenance and repairs to building mechanical systems i.e. pumps, valves etc.
• Perform routine inspection and tests on building Life Support System. i.e. Fire Protection System, Medical Air/ Gas and Emergency Generators etc.
• Perform routine inspection, maintenance and repairs to HVAC systems and related equipment. i.e. air handling units, filters, cooling towers
• Maintain comfort levels to building environment through the computerized building automation system
• Perform shift tours, record and log equipment status, temperatures and pressures
• Startup/shut down major building equipment. i.e. Chillers, Pumps, Cooling Towers
• Carryout water treatment duties on heating and cooling loops
• Minor plumbing and general building maintenance duties i.e. replace washers, faucets, sinks, clear toilets and drains, sumps pits, and replace burnt fluorescent tubes and incandescent lamps
• Perform all types of general building maintenance and repairs as required

Desired Skills & Experience
Job Skills

• Successful completion of the Power Engineer Certification Course (5th class designation) or related trade certificate or previous experience in Plant Operation and General Maintenance will be considered
• Previous experience with BAS and HVAC systems
• Excellent trouble shooting and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to read blue prints and follow verbal and written instructions
• Bending and Lifting Required; Lifting under 30 kgs
• Must be able to work on ladder or scaffold at various heights
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the maintenance and repair of complex building systems and equipment; Will have experience performing duties consistent with those of a HVAC Technician;
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills required with ability to follow instructions both written and verbal
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times with fellow employees and customer
• Maintain clear and courteous two-way radio and/or phone etiquette
